Gender-Specific Treatment
Safe, supportive programs where clients can speak openly, feel understood, and receive care that aligns with their identity.
Gender-Specific Addiction Treatment and Mental Health Program
At EHN Health USA, we offer gender-specific groups in addition to our co-ed group options. Some clients find that co-ed groups offer a valuable opportunity to connect with diverse perspectives and experiences in recovery. Others may feel more comfortable processing sensitive topics in a single-gender setting. We provide both formats to meet a range of clinical needs and personal preferences.
Our gender-specific programming creates space for clients to connect with others who may share similar lived experiences. These groups are designed to build trust, support open dialogue, and reduce shame by encouraging vulnerability and honesty in a setting where clients feel understood.
Each group is facilitated by a licensed, master’s level clinician with experience supporting clients through gender-specific issues in mental health, substance use recovery, and trauma. All groups are virtual, making it easier to participate from home while still receiving high-quality, structured support. Gender-specific groups can help:
- Create safer environments for vulnerability and peer connection
- Support deeper therapeutic engagement through shared experience
- Promote long-term healing in a focused, affirming setting
EHN Health USA is committed to inclusive care. All programs are welcoming to people of all backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQIA+ clients. Our clinicians work to create a space where each client is treated with respect and compassion.
Women’s Mental Health and Addiction Support: Open for Enrollment
Our current women’s-only group offers a supportive environment for women to explore topics they may not feel comfortable discussing in mixed-gender settings, such as: trauma, motherhood, body image, relationships, and recovery.
This women’s mental health and addiction group is open for enrollment and is designed to be a safe, empowering space for women navigating mental health and substance use recovery. Sessions are facilitated by licensed female counselors who specialize in women’s mental health and recovery support. Many of our clinicians bring lived experience and a deep understanding of the intersection between gender, trauma, and healing.
The group is rooted in trauma-informed practices and focuses on creating emotional safety, building community, and celebrating resilience. It includes managing symptoms and reclaiming strength and identity. Delivered virtually, this group increases access for women who:
- Are balancing caregiving or work responsibilities
- Live in areas without gender-specific support options
- Need a flexible, clinically sound support system tailored to their lives
Many women find that having a space to be vulnerable with others who truly “get it” leads to deeper healing, lasting connections, and a renewed sense of belonging in recovery.
Men’s Group: Launching Soon
We’re developing a men’s-only group designed to address unique challenges around identity, emotional expression, fatherhood, and mental health in a supportive and stigma-free setting.
This men’s group will provide a space to speak honestly about experiences without judgment, particularly around topics often minimized or stigmatized, such as self-worth, relationship struggles, expectations, and vulnerability.
Facilitated by master’s level clinicians with experience supporting men in behavioral health and substance use recovery, the group will focus on building emotional awareness, challenging stigma, and developing healthier coping strategies.
Like all of EHN’s offerings, this group will be delivered virtually, making it easier to access expert-led support while balancing work, school, or other responsibilities. Participants will benefit from real-world strategies, peer support, and a flexible format that fits their lives. This group is ideal for men who:
- Want to express themselves in a safe, judgment-free space
- Are navigating the mental load of caregiving or work stress
- Seek connection and accountability with others facing similar pressures
Our men’s-only group will help participants feel understood, supported, and better equipped to move forward without needing to compromise privacy, scheduling, or comfort.
